A Description of the Pastor's role within Our Church

(excerpted from the constitution, Article 7,Section 4.)

The Preaching, Teaching Elder (Pastor)

The leadership of the Church resides in the Scriptural office of the Pastor who is appointed by the Holy Spirit as the overseer of the flock. The Pastor shall have the general oversight of the spiritual life, regular services, and ministration of the ordinances of the Church; he shall act as moderator, when present, in all meetings for the traction of business except when the action distinctly concerns himself; and he shall conscientiously perform the various and other duties incumbent on his office. The Pastor shall have control of the music and of the broadcasting by radio or other public media of any Church service subject, when necessary, to the approval of the Elder Board. Any assistant pastor, or pastors, or any employees of this Church shall perform such duties as may be designated by the Pastor/and Elder Board.

ABOUT OUR PASTOR...

Pastor and Mrs. Lambertson

Pastor Dan Lambertson is a 1985 graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in pastoral ministries.

He grew up as a pastor' s son and has been a full time pastor continuously since 1986. He was ordained in 1987 by the Dover Bible Church. He has served as pastor to churches in Pennsylvania, New York State and Maine.

After previously ministering in southern Maine from 1994 through 2002, God called Pastor Dan and his family away from the state of Maine for a few years. He and his family returned to Maine again in 2005 when he was called to pastor the South Waterboro Bible Chapel.

Pastor Dan with the support of his wife and children serves the church and community preaching and teaching the Word of God.

He has also coordinated and participated in several missions trips to Haiti, Mexico, Peru and special projects within the United States.

Personally, he is active in cycling and hockey as well as enjoying fishing and hunting. It is his desire that God will also use these personal interests as a bridge to building relationships which lead to witnessing the good news of Jesus Christ.

" And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry...And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus."
(1 Timothy 1:12,14)
